Leukemia Information and Treatment

Originally, the term FPD/AML was created because our familial platelet disorder had a propensity to acute myelogenous leukemia (AML).  Although this remains true, we now know that RUNX1 FPD can also predispose to MDS (myelodysplastic syndromes) and T-ALL (T-cell acute lymphocytic leukemia).

Please visit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society website for more information about leukemia types, support groups and other relevant information. There you will also find information to educate yourself generally about treatment options.
